The studio has been busy busy this week as we’ve been working on shooting some new samples.
Here are some of the behind the scenes shots of Chris in action as well as some of the mouthwatering finished shots.
Chris recently shot at Grant Achatz’s restaurant Next. The current menu replicates el Bulli recipes from the 80’s and 90’s. Here is a shot of the 1989 carpaccio de ceps confitados #52.
The studio needed another hydraulic pump for a shot so we thought we’d share how one is made. Once built, the bucket is filled and the power is adjusted by the dimmer extension cord allowing control of the projected liquid.
This is a new sample I shot in studio. The hot grill effect was achieved with cool smoke and some strategically placed fire, brickettes and gels. Very little retouching was needed as this shot was captured in camera.
Recently, Chris went to New Orleans to film restaurant owner Scott Boswell and tell the story of “Stanley”.
